The latest visual and PV for the “Winter Limited Edition Bonbon Chocolat Incident” from the ongoing second season of the TV anime Little Citizen Series have been released.
Based on the mystery novels by Naoki Prize-winning author Honobu Yonezawa—known for the Classics Club series including Hyouka—the story follows Kobato, who once had a bitter experience through a detective activity known as “wisdom work.” She forms a “mutually beneficial relationship” with her classmate Osanai, striving to live as “pure and modest little citizens,” yet they repeatedly find themselves drawn into one mysterious incident after another.
Season 2 adapts the “Autumn Limited Edition Chestnut Kinton Incident” and the “Winter Limited Edition Bonbon Chocolat Incident.” After their relationship ends, Osanai begins dating Uri no, a first-year newspaper club member aiming to cover an arson case in town for the school paper to leave behind his legacy as a student. Meanwhile, Kobato starts seeing Nakamaru, a classmate.
The upcoming episode airing May 24 marks the beginning of the Bonbon Chocolat Incident, in which Kobato and Osanai cross paths once more following the Chestnut Kinton Incident.
The recently released second PV features the opening scene of the Winter Limited Bonbon Chocolat Incident, where Kobato is involved in a hit-and-run accident while walking with Osanai in December, just before her university entrance exams, and is rushed to the hospital.
The video also features the ending theme, “Suga Riddle” by Nagi Yanagi, which plays partway through the trailer.
