The main cast and new PV for the new TV anime “Blade & Bastard” have been released. In addition, an original illustration by so-bin, the original character designer, has also been announced.
The original work is a dark fantasy novel that depicts a labyrinth adventure story set in the world of the classic RPG “Wizardry”, and is a collaboration between Kumo Kagyu of “Goblin Slayer” and so-bin (original illustrator) of “Overlord”. Iarmus, a man who has returned from the dead but has lost his memory, spends his days solo diving into labyrinths (dungeons) and collecting the corpses of adventurers, but his daily life begins to change dramatically after he meets a young swordsman called “Garbage”.

A Dark Fantasy Brought to Life by a Stellar Voice Cast
With the reveal of the main cast, “Blade & Bastard” is clearly aiming to elevate its dark fantasy world through top-tier voice talent. The new PV hints at a richly atmospheric setting, combining gritty action with psychological depth. The presence of Makoto Furukawa and Saori Hayami suggests a serious tone, while Tomori Kusunoki and Daiki Yamashita could bring emotional nuance and dynamic tension. This series may appeal strongly to fans of mature fantasy narratives like “Made in Abyss” or “Berserk.”
