DanMachi 10th Anniversary Visual Released, Staff Talk Show Announced

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the anime Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, a special commemorative visual was released on April 4th. The illustration features Bell, Aiz, and Hestia reaching out toward the viewer, with the iconic cityscape of Orario in the background.

In addition, a special staff talk show has been announced. Titled DanMachi Anime 10th Anniversary Fan Meeting Night 1: Is It Wrong to Ask the Anime Staff to Talk?, the event will take place on May 9th at LOFT/PLUS ONE in Tokyo. The talk show will feature key staff members including Nobuhiro Osawa (EGG FIRM), Yuji Matsukura (J.C.STAFF), Yuichiro Shiji (WB Production Producer), and Yuki Maeda (WB Publicity Producer).

Tickets are priced at ¥2,500 (excluding food and drink), and advance tickets are available through LivePocket. Note that DanMachi staff talk shows are held irregularly, so fans won’t want to miss this rare opportunity.

The Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? series is an anime adaptation of the hit fantasy light novel written by Fujino Omori, which has sold over 17 million copies worldwide.

Set in the labyrinth city of Orario, the story follows Bell Cranel (voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka), a young adventurer devoted to the goddess Hestia (voiced by Inori Minase). As Bell and his companions face powerful monsters and uncover ancient secrets in the dungeon beneath the city, they grow stronger with each challenge.

The anime premiered its first season in 2015, followed by Season 2 in 2019 and Season 3 in 2020. The fourth season was split into two parts: New Chapter: Labyrinth Arc in 2022 and Deep Chapter: Calamity Arc in 2023. The fifth season aired from October 2024 to March 2025.

The franchise also includes the 2017 spin-off anime Sword Oratoria: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Side Story and the 2019 film Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? The Movie: Orion’s Arrow.
