“Gundam Sieg Axe” TV series will start airing on April 8th, with theme song “Plazma” by Kenshi Yonezu

The latest Gundam series, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX, will be broadcast on 30 Nippon TV affiliates at 12:29am every Tuesday starting on April 8th. The theme song will be Kenshi Yonezu’s “Plazma,” following on from the currently-showing theatrical pre-release version, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX Beginning.

The theme song will be sung by Kenshi Yonezu, continuing from the theatrical advance version.

This work, produced by Studio Khara and Sunrise as their first collaboration, tells the story of Amate Yuzuriha, a high school girl living peacefully in a space colony, who meets Nyaan, a war refugee girl, and becomes involved in the illegal mobile suit competition “Clan Battle,” and throws herself into daily battles. The theatrical advance version, which is an edited version of the TV series, was released on January 17th, and in the 31 days since its release, it has grossed 2.53 billion yen and attracted over 1.554 million viewers.

In addition, it has been decided that there will be a stage greeting to thank fans for the success of the theatrical advance version “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX Beginning,” and a “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX” stage will be held at “AnimeJapan 2025” on March 22nd and 23rd. Additionally, the official Gundam YouTube channel, “Gundam Channel,” has released promotional reel 2 for the theatrical advance release, “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX Beginning.”
