The full comments from the cast and the original author are below.
[Natsuyoshi Yuko (role of Futami Nana)]
I’m Natsuyoshi Yuko, and I’ll be playing the role of Futami Nana! I love how Futami is full of energy and cheerfully negative about everything. I’m very happy to be playing her!! “Egatae” is a wonderful work that will make you laugh, make your heart flutter, and give you a little closer to manga artists and the publishing industry that surrounds them. As a voice actor, I’m in the position of being involved in the work, and I feel like this sense of closeness gives me the push I need! Please look forward to the broadcast! Thank you!
[Amamiya Sora (role of Sato Kaede)]
When I first read the original manga, I was intrigued by the detailed depiction of the work of a manga artist and the people around him. The relationship between Futami and Sato, which emerges through their work, is truly wonderful, and I’m very happy to be able to play Sato, who is cool, clumsy, and lovable, and is filled with love for Futami! It’s a story that will make you laugh and warm your heart, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it!!
[Ito Miku (role of Hazama Mizuki)]
A work comedy that revolves around Futami-sensei! The more I get to know the characters, the more I like them. My character, Ha-san (Mazami Mizuki), is younger than me, but he has a deep perspective and is a mature man, but I am touched by the cuteness he sometimes shows that is appropriate for his age. I would be happy if you could pay attention to Ha-san, who is relaxed and sometimes snaps at everyone at work!
[Kuzushiro (original work)] In preparation for the broadcast start in October 2025, I feel that it has been made into a wonderful TV anime thanks to director Suzuki Kaoru, series composition Inoue Mio, the scriptwriters, character designer Miyai Kana, sound director Tanaka Ryo, the sound production staff, producers, and staff. They always respect the original work, and I often feel that the resolution of the work is higher than that of the original author. Also, the newly announced Yuko Natsuyoshi as Nana Futami, Sora Amamiya as Kaede Sato, and Miku Ito as Mizuki Hazama were all people I recommended as the original author during the auditions, and their acting is truly amazing… I’m always inspired by the serialized manga, thinking, “I think I can portray this side of this character, this scene.” There are also characters and theme songs that have yet to be announced, and I’m happy about them, so I hope you’ll look forward to the TV anime airing and follow the latest news on the official website and social media.
