The domestic box office rankings for March 21–23 (nationwide weekend results provided by Kogyo Tsushinsha) have been announced.

“Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Picture World Story” held onto the top spot for the third consecutive week. Over the three-day holiday weekend, the film attracted 282,000 viewers and grossed 347 million yen, bringing its cumulative total to more than 1.17 million admissions and a box office revenue of over 2.1 billion yen.

“Wicked” also retained its second-place position. In third place, Disney’s live-action musical “Snow White”, the company’s first feature-length animated film adaptation, made its debut.

Other notable entries in the top 10 include:

  • 4th: The Boy and the Dog

  • 5th: The 35th Love Letter

  • 6th: First Kiss

  • 7th: Pope Election (new entry)

  • 8th: The Young Lady and the Watchdog

  • 9th: True Beauty Before High School Debut Edition — the first of a two-part romantic comedy film starring Kōki, adapted from the popular Korean webcomic True Beauty.

Rounding out the list in 10th place is “Hypnosis Mic Division Rap Battle”, now in its fifth week of release. Its resurgence was fueled by the fifth admission bonus, which included a special collaborative card with the upcoming film Uta no Prince-sama Taboo Night XXXX the Movie (premiering May 9). The card—titled “QUARTET NIGHT Yell Trailer for Hypnosis Mic –Division Rap Battle– CARD”—features a QR code and serial code that allows fans to view an exclusive trailer where UtaPri’s QUARTET NIGHT group cheers on Hypnosis Mic.
