[Weekend anime movie ranking] “Doraemon” exceeds 2.1 billion yen in box office revenue, “Hypnosis Mic” re-emerges in 10th place

The domestic movie rankings for March 21-23 (nationwide weekend box office results, provided by Kogyo Tsushinsha) were announced, with “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s Picture World Story” maintaining its lead for the third consecutive week. Over the three-day weekend, it attracted 282,000 viewers and earned 347 million yen, bringing the total to over 1.17 million viewers and 2.1 billion yen. “Wicked” also maintained its second place.
In third place was the musical film “Snow White,” Disney’s first live-action adaptation of a feature-length animated film, which made its debut. The new film “The Boy and the Dog” followed in fourth place. In fifth place was “The 35th Love Letter,” and “First Kiss” came in sixth.
In seventh place was the new film “Pope Election,” and “The Young Lady and the Watchdog” came in eighth. Coming in at 9th place is the new film “True Beauty Before High School Debut Edition.” This is the first part of a two-part romantic comedy film adaptation starring Kōki, based on the popular Korean webcomic “True Beauty.”
And in 10th place is “Hypnosis Mic Division Rap Battle,” which is now in its fifth week of release. In addition to the fifth admission bonus frame film, a special card was distributed in collaboration with “Uta no Prince-sama Taboo Night XXXX the Movie,” which will be released on May 9th, titled “QUARTET NIGHT (from Uta no Prince-sama) Yell trailer for Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-” CARD.
