The original work is a manga by Saito Sakae that has been serialized in “Dengeki Maoh” (KADOKAWA) since 2020. It depicts Yoko (voiced by Inagaki Yoshimi) and Airi (voiced by Tomita Miyu) traveling across Japan on their Serow off-road motorcycle in a post-apocalyptic world where civilization has been destroyed and no one is left standing. Seven volumes of the manga have been published so far.

The opening theme song will be “Touring” by the three-member rock band “Conton Candy,” and the ending theme song will be “Glide” by singer-songwriter Myuk. “Touring” will be available on October 12th, and “Glide” on October 5th.

The new promotional video features voiceover footage of Yoko and Airi experiencing various experiences across devastated Japan while both “Touring” and “Glide” play. The key visual depicts the pair riding a Serow with beaming smiles on their faces, along with scenes from each location.

The full comments from the theme song artists are below.

[Conton Candy (Opening Theme)]

When we decided to be involved in “Shumatsu Touring,” our first priority was how we could incorporate the nostalgic yet chaotic worldview of the work into the music. That’s why we thought we could create something from a new perspective as “Conton Candy,” but when we actually started working on it, we realized that we ourselves had had a variety of experiences traveling around the country with our equipment trucks and going on tour. We are honored to have been able to write a song for this work that allowed us to re-examine what it means to be a band through this major commonality.

[Myuk (ending theme song)]

I am very happy to have the opportunity to compose music for “End of the World Touring.” Airi and Yoko feel lonely in a world where no one else exists, but they never lose their curiosity. Their journey gives me courage. I hope you enjoy “Glide,” which is filled with the strong desire to “keep running.” I will be watching over this heartwarming tale of adventure.
