As a new bonus for moviegoers of the currently-showing “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Castle Arc Chapter 1: Akaza Returns,” a “Third Key Visual Illustration Board” (A5 size) will be distributed nationwide to 3 million people starting August 2nd (available for the standard, IMAX, and Dolby Cinema versions; while supplies last).
It has also been announced that the Dolby Cinema version will be available starting August 2nd.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a battle action manga written by Koyoharu Gotouge and serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. Set in the Taisho era, the story follows Tanjiro Kamado (voiced by Natsuki Hanae), a boy whose sister was turned into a demon, as he throws himself into the battle against demons led by Muzan Kibutsuji (voiced by Toshihiko Seki). The first season of the anime series, “Tanjiro Kamado: The Unwavering Resolve Arc,” aired in 2019. By 2024, “Infinity Train Arc,” “Red Light District Arc,” “Swordsmith Village Arc,” and “Hashira Training Arc” had been produced. The “Infinity Castle Arc” will be adapted into a three-part animated film depicting the final battle that takes place in the demon’s base, “Infinity Castle.” “Chapter 1: Akaza Returns,” which was released on July 18, was a mega-hit, attracting 9.1 million viewers and grossing 12.87 billion yen in the box office within 10 days of its release.
