“Summer Pockets” Theatrical Edition to Screen from Aug 15

The theatrical edit of the currently airing TV anime “Summer Pockets” will be screened in four parts in theaters from August to September. The screening schedule has been announced.

The original is a romance adventure game released in 2018 by Visual Arts/Key, known for “CLANNAD” and “Little Busters!”. The story follows Takahara Hayari (CV: Chiba Shoya), who visits Torihakushima, a remote island in the Seto Inland Sea, to sort out her grandmother’s belongings, and spends her “repeated summer vacation” interacting with the girls she meets on the island, including Naruse Shiroha (Kohara Yoshimi). The TV anime has been airing for two consecutive seasons since April this year.

The theatrical edited version will be screened from August 15th to 21st for “Kushima Kamome,” from August 22nd to 28th for “Tsumugi Wenders,” from August 29th to September 4th for “Soramon Ao,” and from September 5th to 11th for “Naruse Shiroha.”

At Shinjuku Wald 9 in Tokyo, the stage greetings of the heroine cast members from each episode will be held. On August 20th, Hieda Nene, who plays Kamome Kushima, will appear, on August 27th, Iwai Emiri, who plays Tsumugi Wenders, on September 3rd, Takamori Natsumi, who plays Soramon Ao, on September 6th, and Obara, who plays Shiroha, on September 7th. Original scenario writer and producer Nakajima Naoto will also appear at each episode. Each episode starts at 7pm. Tickets cost 2,500 yen each, and applications for the lottery are being accepted until August 3rd.

Advance tickets (Mubichike cards) are now on sale at each screening theater, Major Mail Order, and other outlets. Screenings have also been scheduled at Forum Sendai in Miyagi, Aeon Cinema Okayama, and Aeon Cinema Hakusan in Ishikawa.
