The broadcast start date for the TV anime “Ranma 1/2 (Season 2)” has been decided to be October, and the first PV and additional cast members have been revealed.
New characters appearing in Season 2 include Toshihiko Seki as Mousse, Kaori Nazuka as Ukyo Kuonji, Kazuhiko Inoue as Happosai, Ako Mayama as Colon, and Akira Ishida as Hikaru Gosunkugi.

In the old TV anime version that aired from 1989 to 1992, Seki also played the role of Mousse, Hiromi Tsuru played the role of Ukyo Kuonji, Ichiro Nagai played the role of Happosai, Miyoko Aso played the role of Colon, and Kazunari Futamata played the role of Mitsuru Gosukugi.

The series is a re-animation of the manga serialized in “Weekly Shonen Sunday” (Shogakukan) from 1987 to 1996 by Takahashi Rumiko, known for “Urusei Yatsura,” “Maison Ikkoku,” “Inuyasha,” and other works. The series depicts the daily life of high school boy Saotome Ranma, who becomes a woman when splashed with water during his training in China, as he spends his days with his fiancée Tendo Akane and other unique companions. The first season of the TV anime, produced by MAPPA, aired from October to December 2024.
