The poster visual for the theatrical anime “Chainsaw Man: Reze” produced by MAPPA has been unveiled.
The film is based on the manga “Chainsaw Man” by Tatsuki Fujimoto, which is currently being serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump”. Denji, a devil hunter suffering from poverty, becomes Chainsaw Man with a demon’s heart and fights deadly battles with demons. The “Reze” arc, a sequel to the TV anime version broadcast in 2022, depicts a new story that begins with Denji meeting the mysterious girl Reze.
The poster visual depicts Denji and Reze holding hands and quietly gazing at each other, giving a sense of the bittersweet youth that is unique to the “Reze” arc. Meanwhile, in the center, a tense moment when Chainsaw Man and Bomb, the two demons, collide is depicted, and the visual foreshadows the beginning of a bloody battle.
The latest information on the series is scheduled to be announced at the MAPPA panel stage at Anime Expo 2025, which will be held in Los Angeles from July 3rd to 6th. The stage event will be streamed live on YouTube and other platforms.
The animated film Chainsaw Man: Reze will be released nationwide on September 19th.
