Puniru Season 2 Airs July 6 with Jure

The second season of the TV anime “Puniru is a Cute Slime” is set to begin broadcasting on July 6th, and it has been revealed that Sumire Uesaka will play the role of the new character Jure. The official promotional video and key visual for the second season have been released.

The original manga, which Maeda-kun is currently serializing on the web comic site “Weekly CoroCoro Comic,” is a popular romantic comedy manga that won 4th place in the Web Manga category at the “Next Manga Awards 2022” and has exceeded 22 million cumulative PVs (as of September 2012). It depicts the hectic daily life of the protagonist Kotaro Kawai (CV: Shuuichirou Umeda) and “Puniru (Yu Shinohara),” a slime he created who uses his shape-shifting body to take on the form of a beautiful girl. The first season of the TV anime aired in 2012, with a total of 12 episodes. Seven volumes of the book have already been published.

The second season will move to the evening broadcast time slot. It will begin on July 6th at 5:30pm on TV Tokyo’s six affiliated stations. It will then be streamed on d Anime Store, Amazon Prime Video and others from 6pm on the 6th.

Uesaka will play Jure, an artificial slime life form called “Gelroid” created by Dr. Mado (Nakai Kazuya), a teacher at the junior high school Kotaro and his friends attend, and she takes pride in being the “perfect AI.”

The opening theme song for the second season has also been decided to be “Brun-Brun” sung by Puniru (Shinohara).

Jure appears with her voice in this PV. It shows Puniru transforming into various shapes, Kotaro and friends dressed in fantastical adventurer costumes, and a part of the audio of “Brun-Brun” is also shown. The key visual shows the main characters gathered together, with Puniru at the center and Jure newly added.
