Alma-chan Anime Teaser PV and Cast Revealed

It has been announced that Tsukishiro Hika will voice Alma, Suzuki Ryota will play Kamisato Enji, and M.A.O will portray Yoruha Suzume in the upcoming TV anime “Alma-chan Wants to Become a Family.” A teaser PV and visual have also been released.

Originally created by Nanateru, the story is a heartwarming home comedy manga that began on social media and was serialized in Comic Newtype from 2021 to 2024 under the title Girl-type Weapon (Alma-chan) Wants to Become a Family. Alma is a highly advanced autonomous combat robot developed for learning and battle. However, upon activation, she immediately refers to her creators, Enji and Suzume, as “Dad” and “Mom,” forming a strong attachment to them. Surprised but intrigued, the two decide to live together as a family to nurture Alma’s advanced AI and raise her into the ultimate robot. The original manga spans three volumes. A sequel series, Alma-chan Wants to Become a Family Z, has been serialized since July 2024, with Volume 1 set to release on April 25.

Tsukishiro voices Alma, the most powerful girl-type weapon with the appearance of a human girl, exceptional learning capabilities, and outstanding physical abilities. Suzuki portrays Enji, a young genius scientist gaining recognition as an expert in AI physics, despite being awkward around women. M.A.O plays Suzume, a brilliant engineer with a love for cute things and robots—cool on the outside, but with a surprisingly girly personality.

The teaser PV, featuring the voices of the three main characters, begins with Enji and Suzume activating Alma. Despite their initial hesitation, the video depicts the trio gradually forming a family bond. The teaser visual shows Alma peeking in adorably, and on the official website, the same image includes a fun interactive feature where Alma blinks her eyes.
