It has been officially announced that the romantic comedy manga Kanaan-sama Is Always Easy will be adapted into a TV anime in 2026. A teaser visual has also been revealed, featuring the heroine Kanaan—a demon in a school uniform—sitting with her knees hugged and forming a heart shape with her entire body.
Originally created by Nonco, the manga has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha) since 2022. The story follows Kanaan, a gourmet-loving demon who descends into the human world in search of sweet, youthful souls. However, she unexpectedly enters a romantic pact with a high school boy named Kyogyouji. Though Kanaan has lived for thousands of years, she’s never experienced love—making her all the more flustered and thrilled by Kyogyouji’s every casual gesture.
The series is being brought to life by Studio KAI, known for titles like Uma Musume: Pretty Derby Season 3 and Super Cub. The latest Volume 9 of the manga was released on April 16th.
To celebrate the anime adaptation, Nonco shared a special illustration and comment for fans. You can find the full message below:
