Girls Band Cry Movie Tickets Round 2

The teaser trailer and key visual for the movie compilation “Girls Band Cry” have been officially unveiled.

The original TV anime Girls Band Cry, produced by Toei Animation, aired in 2024. The story follows Isekiri Nina (voiced by Rina), who drops out of high school and moves to Tokyo alone. There, she forms the rock band Togenashi Togeari with Kawaraki Momoka (Yuri), Yasuwa Subaru (Mirei), Ebitsuka Tomo (Nagito), and Rupa (Shuri)—each member carrying their own emotional baggage and frustrations. United by their passion for music, they strive to express themselves through their sound.

The upcoming movie compilation reimagines all 13 episodes of the TV series into a two-part film with additional new scenes. The first part, Youth Rhapsody, premieres on October 3, followed by the second part, Hey, Future, on November 14.

In conjunction with the anime, the real-life band Togenashi Togeari, formed by the cast, will hold the Girls Band Cry 2nd Anniversary LIVE at TOKYO DOME CITY HALL on April 27 and the Togenashi Togeari LIVE in Nippon Budokan: Sougeki no Sake at Nippon Budokan on September 23.

The teaser video features Nina arriving in Tokyo, facing judgmental stares, yet continuing to push forward with unwavering conviction. One powerful scene shows her standing on stage, defiantly proclaiming, “I’m going to shout to everyone who denied me that I’m not wrong.”

It has also been announced that the second round of movie ticket sales will begin on May 30 at select theaters, Major mail order, and MOVIE WALKER STORE. There will be six ticket designs featuring the newly revealed key visuals—three designs for Part 1 showcasing Nina, Momoka, and Subaru, and three for Part 2 featuring Tomo, Rupa, and the full band lineup. Each ticket includes a clear card printed with the same illustration. Fans who purchase all six tickets at once will also receive an exclusive clear card case as a bonus.

It has also been decided that the second round of movie tickets will be on sale from May 30th at some theaters, Major Mail Order, and MOVIE WALKER STORE. There are six types of ticket designs using the key visuals, with three designs for the first half featuring Nina, Momoka, and Subaru, and three designs for the second half featuring Tomo, Rupa, and all members. Each ticket comes with a clear card with the same illustration as the ticket, and if you purchase all six at the same time, you will also receive a clear card case.
