“Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: New Trailer Reveals Theme Songs by Sachiko Kobayashi & Kotringo”

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: The Lonely Dragon trailer released; ending theme to be performed by Sachiko Kobayashi, insert song by Kotringo

The official trailer for the theatrical anime Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: The Lonely Dragon produced by Kyoto Animation has been released, along with the announcement that Kobayashi Sachiko will be in charge of the ending theme song and Kotringo will be in charge of the insert song.
The original Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is a fantasy comedy manga serialized by Cool Kyou Shinja in Manga Action (published by Futabasha). It depicts the lively daily life of office worker Kobayashi (CV: Tamura Mutsumi) and her dragon Thor (Kuwahara Yuki), who lives with her as a maid out of gratitude. The anime version was broadcast as a TV series with the same name as the original in 2017, and the second season, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S, in 2021. In Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: The Lonely Dragon, popular episodes from the original are reborn on a grand scale.
In this trailer, Kanna’s (Naganawa Maria) father Kimun Kamui (Tachiki Fumihiko) and the mysterious man Arzard (Shimazaki Nobunaga), who are searching for the “Dragon Jewel,” descend to the human world to bring Kanna back. It also includes a monologue in which Kanna confesses her heartbreaking feelings, saying, “Dad, I’ll do it, so praise me,” as well as the scene in which Kobayashi and his friends rise up to chase after Kanna, who has disappeared.
The ending theme song sung by Kobayashi Sachiko is titled “Our Days.” A portion of the song was shown in the second half of the trailer. Kobayashi Sachiko has collaborated with the Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid series in April Fool’s Day projects in 2021 and this year (2025).
The insert song by Kotringo is titled “Negaigoto.” Kotringo was in charge of the music for the second season of the TV series, and will be participating in the series again.
It has also been decided that the theme song CD (1,650 yen) and the complete song collection (3,300 yen) will be released on June 27th, the day the movie is released. The theme song CD will include both the opening theme song “Tears Parade” by fhána and the ending theme song “Our Days” sung by Kobayashi Sachiko. The complete song collection will include the main soundtrack by Ito Masumi, as well as full-length versions of “Tears Parade,” “Our Days,” and “Negaigoto,” and a cover version of “Our Days” by Kanna (Naganawa).

When people interact with each other, even if they think they are communicating, it can sometimes turn out that they are not. But in reality, I think that the encounter between people is itself a miracle. I think that trying to understand each other and coming to an agreement is a precious thing. “Our Days” contains the message that we should cherish those days. Even if we forget, we realize it again and forget, and those days are miracles, and living is a series of miracles. It’s a wonderful song that expresses that. I would be happy if everyone could hear the ending theme song at the movie theater! [Tatsuya Ishihara (Director)] It’s about three months until the release of the Maid Dragon movie!
