“Sumikko Gurashi” to be made into a TV series; “Weekly Corner” will be broadcast every Friday in a new corner of “ZIP!” starting in April

The popular character “Sumikko Gurashi” has been decided to be made into a TV series. It will be broadcast every Friday in the “corner of the week” as part of the new corner “ZIP! 1-minute anime” that will start in April on the Nippon Television morning information program “ZIP!”, under the title “ZIP! 1-minute anime ‘Sumikko Gurashi: Here is where I feel at peace'”.

In addition, a new character, “Kedama (pink sweater)”, will join the TV series. There are various “Kedama”, such as one born from a cat’s furball, but “Kedama (pink sweater)” was born from a furball on the sweater worn by the announcer.
The TV series staff will be directed and produced by Kinoshita Ku, and animation production will be handled by Fanworks.

“ZIP! 1-minute anime ‘Sumikko Gurashi: Here’s Where I Feel at Peace'” will be broadcast on Nippon TV’s ZIP! every Friday from April 4th at around 7:30 am. After the program ends, it will be available for catch-up streaming for one week from 9 am.
