“SAKAMOTO DAYS” 2nd season features Kouki Uchiyama; new key visuals unveiled foreshadowing fierce battles

The key visual for the second season of the TV anime “SAKAMOTO DAYS” has been released. The new cast has also been announced, and it has been revealed that Koki Uchiyama will play Gaku, a man of such overwhelming strength that he can destroy half of the Kanto branch of the League in an instant.

The key visual for the second season features Sakamoto, ready with a ballpoint pen in hand, and Shin and Ru, who work at Sakamoto Shoten. On the right are Nagumo, Kamigami Kai, and Obutsu from ORDER, a special task force directly under the Satsuren, and on the left are the mysterious “X (Slur)” who carries out assassin killing missions, Kashima, a human whose entire body is a weapon and who worships him, and Gaku, who enjoys fighting as if it were a game. The design foreshadows the threat that will soon befall Sakamoto and his friends in the second season, and the fierce battle that will soon come.
The original manga, currently being serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” (published by Shueisha), is the story of Taro Sakamoto (voiced by Sugita Tomokazu), a former legendary assassin who now runs a private shop in a peaceful town, who fights against approaching assassins with his friends to protect the peaceful daily life he lives with his beloved family. The first season will reach its final episode on March 22nd.
The second season of “SAKAMOTO DAYS” will be broadcast every Monday at midnight from July on TV Tokyo affiliates and other channels. It will be released first on Netflix, and will be released on other distribution platforms sequentially after the TV broadcast. Uchiyama’s comments are as follows.

I tried to play the role while keeping in mind the image of “Raku” that I felt when reading the original work. “Raku” is a character who loves games and goes at his own pace, but has high fighting ability. He is also a member of Slur’s group. I think the action scenes are the biggest attraction of this work, but I hope you will also enjoy the unique conversation scenes with the unique characters of Slur.
