The teaser visual and the first PV for “Opposite You and Me,” a TV anime adaptation of Agazawa Kocha’s romantic comedy manga, have been released. In addition, the main staff for the anime has also been announced.
The original manga, which was serialized in Shueisha’s “Jump +” until 2024, depicts the love story of two polar opposites, Suzuki, a lively girl, and Tani, a quiet boy, and their student life with their friends. With a total circulation of over 1.45 million copies (including digital editions), it has won numerous manga awards, including the “Everyone’s Choice!! Digital Comic Awards 2024” Men’s Category Award and 7th place in the “Manga Awards 2024”.
The teaser visual, released in conjunction with the release of the final and 8th volume of the original manga, shows Suzuki making a heart symbol with both hands, with Tani with a cool expression inside the heart. Characters familiar from the original manga, such as the yeti, Tempura (Tani’s pet cat), and pandas, are also scattered throughout the work.
The first PV, which was also released, depicts Suzuki and Tani, who have completely opposite personalities, set to light-hearted music, and towards the end, they are seen holding hands and Suzuki blushing, as well as the line, “I want to know the opposite side of you.”
