“Unemployed Hero: I Didn’t Really Need Any Skills” is a TV anime adaptation of Kuzu Nanao’s fantasy novel (published by Earth Star Entertainment) that will begin airing in 2025, and it has been revealed that Ono Kensho will star in the film. The teaser visual has been released.
The original story, which originated on the novel submission site “Let’s Become a Novelist”, is set in a world where the profession and skills bestowed by the goddess greatly influence one’s life. It depicts the story of a boy named Aller, who was born to high-spec parents but was branded as “unemployed”, but through hard work, he gradually acquires powers that surpass his natural talent, his skills. Four volumes have been published so far.
Ono will play the role of Aller, the son of “Sword Princess” Farah and “Sorcerer King” Leon, who is judged to be “unemployed” and trains himself despite being exposed to disappointment and sympathy from the people.

The staff is made up of the same people who worked on “The Demon King’s Strongest Magician Was a Human.” Yabana Kaoru, who also directed that work, will be the director, Higurashi Chabo will be in charge of series composition and scriptwriting, and studio A-CAT will be in charge of animation production.
The teaser visual shows a sharp-eyed Aller with a sword in hand, along with the catchphrase “Don’t be pessimistic, move forward.”
The full comment from Ono is below.

I’m Ono Kensho, and I’ll be playing Aller in “Unemployed Hero.” In a world where you’re given a job and skills when you turn 10, Aller is unemployed! I found him so charming, and ended up reading the original manga in one go, as he overcomes this situation with hard work, even though it would be no surprise if he were in despair. I’ll do my best to portray his charm in the anime! Please look forward to the broadcast.
