An original art exhibition of Horikoshi Kohei’s manga “My Hero Academia” will be held from June 21st to August 31st at CREATIVE MUSEUM TOKYO in Tokyo. A traveling exhibition will also be held in Osaka this fall. A new key visual of a clash between heroes and villains and a handwritten comment from Horikoshi himself have been announced.
The exhibition will display Horikoshi’s handwritten manuscripts and valuable materials that are not usually seen, created during the digital drawing process. During the serialization, the exhibition will allow visitors to experience Horikoshi’s passion, who has continued to evolve his drawing skills with the aim of “shocking readers with his art.” In addition, products using the newly drawn key visuals and original goods commemorating the exhibition will also be on sale. Information on the first round of goods has been announced. Tickets will be sold in three parts: lottery sales, early general sales (first come, first served), and late general sales (first come, first served). Entries for the lottery sale for regular digital subscribers of Weekly Shonen Jump will be accepted until 11:59 PM on March 16th. Details of each ticket and the sales schedule are available on the official website (https://heroaca-ex.com/).

During the roughly ten years of serialization, the submissions were digitalized halfway through, but my line drawings remain analog, so I think I can show you a somewhat raw manuscript. Also, since the drafts and the drafts of My Hero Academia were often completely different, I hope that by showing the drafts as well, you can get a sense of what the manga artist was thinking while serializing the series, and so on, in an exhibition that gives a somewhat raw feel to the serialization. We are working hard to make the exhibition enjoyable even for those who are not interested in My Hero Academia, so please come and see it!
