The “Pierrot Magical Girl Series” is an anime series produced by Studio Pierrot (now Pierrot), which began with “Magical Angel Creamy Mami” in 1983. It depicts girls who are given magical powers and grow up while getting caught up in various troubles. “Magical Fairy Persia” was broadcast in 1984, “Magical Star Magical Emi” in 1985, “Magical Idol Pastel Yumi” in 1986, and “Magical Stage Fancy Lala” in 1998. The characters revealed ahead of the main character are cat-like creatures from the “Magical Land.” Two of them are revealed: “Uguisu,” who is free-spirited and has a tendency to complain, and “Azuki,” who has a calm personality but tries to get through times of trouble by showing off his cuteness.
