Bowling Again After Years – At Tokyo Port Bowl

Yesterday, I played bowling for the first time in five years at Tokyo Port Bowl in Shibaura, Minato Ward. This venue is well-known among bowling fans and often hosts professional tournaments and special events.

The first thing that caught my eye when I arrived was a colorful display featuring an anime-style character named Rina, part of a “Turkey” × Japan Bowling Alley Association collaboration. The vibrant design was so cute I couldn’t resist taking a photo.

Game On… and an Unexpected Surprise!

At first, I was ready for plenty of gutter balls after such a long break. But as the game went on, my form started to return, and before I knew it—strike after strike. Then came the unbelievable part: I scored a Turkey (three strikes in a row)!

Considering my five-year break, it felt like a miracle, and I couldn’t help but throw my hands up in celebration.

Atmosphere and Goods

The bowling alley had a bright, open atmosphere, bustling with families, couples, and groups of friends.

The “Turkey × Japan Bowling Alley Association” collaboration goods were impressive—bowling balls, bags, keychains, and more. The colorful balls looked so good they could be displayed as décor.

Final Thoughts

Bowling after such a long time was more than just a nostalgic activity—it was refreshingly fun. And getting a Turkey purely by chance made the experience unforgettable.

Tokyo Port Bowl is conveniently located, often has unique events and collaborations, and is perfect whether you want to test your skills or simply enjoy a fun outing with friends.
