Synopsis
The protagonist, Takahara Hayari, came to Torishiro Island by herself during her summer vacation to sort out her late grandmother’s belongings. When she got off the ferry, which runs only a few times a day, she met a girl. With the sea breeze playing with her hair, she simply gazed into the distance…at a boundary that could not be described as either the sea or the sky. Before she knew it, the girl had gone somewhere, and Hayari, feeling bewildered, headed to her grandmother’s house. There, her aunt was already there, sorting out her belongings. While helping to sort out her grandmother’s mementos, she was confused by the “island life” she was experiencing for the first time, but she gradually adapted to it. She came into contact with nature, which she had never known while living in the city. It was a life that reminded her of something nostalgic that she had forgotten. She met a girl gazing at the sea. She met a girl searching for a mysterious butterfly. She met a girl searching for memories and a pirate ship. She met a girl living in a quiet lighthouse. She made new friends on the island – she wished this summer vacation would never end. Music
