The original “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is a battle action manga written by Koyoharu Gotouge and serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. Set in the Taisho era, it follows Tanjiro Kamado (voiced by Natsuki Hanae), a young boy whose sister was turned into a demon, as he throws himself into the battle against demons led by Muzan Kibutsuji (Toshihiko Seki). The first season of the anime adaptation, “Tanjiro Kamado: Determination Arc,” aired on television in 2019. By 2024, the “Infinity Train Arc,” “Red Light District Arc,” “Swordsmith Village Arc,” and “Hashira Training Arc” had been produced. The “Infinity Castle Arc” will be adapted into a three-part theatrical anime film, depicting the final battle at the demon’s base, “Infinity Castle.” “Chapter 1: Akaza Returns,” which was released on July 18th, has been a mega-hit, attracting 15.698 million viewers and grossing 22.07 billion yen in box office revenue in the 25 days since its release.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Castle Arc Chapter 1: Akaza Returns” Battle Commercial #1 – Tanjiro Kamado & Giyu Tomioka vs. Akaza
First “Battle CM” Highlights Tanjiro & Giyu’s High-Stakes Clash with Akaza
Aniplex’s first “Battle CM” for Demon Slayer: Mugen Castle Arc – Chapter 1: Akaza Returns zeroes in on the series’ core theme: growth through pain. By pairing Tanjiro with Giyu, the spot contrasts disciplined Water Breathing with Tanjiro’s adaptive style, hinting that teamwork—not solo heroism—will tilt the balance against Akaza’s relentless technique. The edit favors tight cuts and impact frames, signaling a focus on hand-to-hand intensity over spectacle. Notably, Akaza’s composure suggests he’s far from cornered; the trailer frames this as a learning crucible for Tanjiro rather than a conclusive victory. Expect refined choreography, heavier emotional stakes around “resolve,” and a setup that feeds directly into broader Infinity Castle confrontations.
