TV Premiere of Rascal Trilogy Signals New Wave Ahead of Summer Series

The upcoming television broadcast of the Rascal Does Not Dream trilogy marks more than just a re-airing — it serves as a strategic buildup to the brand-new TV series Rascal Does Not Dream of a Santa Claus, slated for July. This move suggests an effort by the production committee to reignite fan interest and introduce newer audiences to the emotional and supernatural core of the franchise.

It’s also notable that Sister and Schoolbag Girl are being broadcast on terrestrial television for the first time, possibly indicating growing mainstream appeal and confidence in the wider accessibility of the later chapters. By bridging the gap between the 2018 original and the upcoming 2025 content, the franchise is reinforcing its long-term presence in the anime landscape.
