The Rising of the Shield Hero season 4 to begin airing in July
The first PV for The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 (premiering in July) has been released. The video features not only new anime footage but also a behind-the-scenes look with storyboards and original key animation. It also introduces the voices of two new characters, played by Takeo Otsuka and Jiro Saito.
In addition, the voices of two new characters have been revealed: Valnar, voiced by Takeo Otsuka, and Jararis, voiced by Jiro Saito. The opening theme will be performed by MADKID, while Chiaki Fujikawa will sing the ending theme.

One day, Naofumi Iwatani, an ordinary otaku college student, is suddenly summoned to another world. Chosen as the Shield Hero—one of the Four Legendary Heroes who wield the sword, spear, bow, and shield—his mission is to fight off the “Waves,” catastrophic events that threaten the world. However, after being betrayed by his companions and stripped of his wealth and honor, Naofumi must rise again from the depths of despair.

Meanwhile, political unrest brews in Qutenrou, and Raphtalia is suddenly raised as a symbol of revolution. In the midst of such chaos, can Naofumi become the beacon of hope his companions need?
