"See you tomorrow at the food court." Anime footage debuts in teaser PV

“See you tomorrow at the food court.” Miyazaki Hiyori plays Wada and Aoyama Yoshino plays Yamamoto. First anime footage revealed in teaser PV

Miyazaki Hiyori and Aoyama Yoshino have been chosen to star in the TV anime “Food Court See You Tomorrow,” scheduled to begin broadcasting this year. A teaser PV has also been released

The original work (published by KADOKAWA) by Shinichiro Nariie, which is currently being serialized in the web comic magazine “Comic Newtype”, is a daily comedy manga that depicts the after-school scenes of the mismatched duo Wada and Yamamoto, who attend different high schools and spend their time alone in class, gathering at a shopping center food court. The latest volume 2 of the book will be released on March 31st.

Miyazaki plays Wada, who exudes a ladylike vibe, but is actually very emotional and not good at studying. Aoyama plays Yamamoto, who is feared for her gyaru appearance, but is a serious, hardworking, and family-oriented person.

The teaser PV, which is the first to show the anime footage, starts with Wada and Yamamoto swaying on a train. The video is a snapshot of the two of them spending their days casually, and at the end you can hear their voices.

I’m Miyazaki Hiyori, and I’ll be playing the role of Wada. I’ve had fun since the audition, and when I was selected for the role, I was overjoyed to be Wada again! I’ve always enjoyed reading the original manga, so I’m very happy to be involved in this wonderful setting. I’ll do my best to portray the ordinary but precious time I spend with my best friend Yamamoto, and to portray Wada’s cute, twisted charm!

I am Yoshino Aoyama, the voice of Yamamoto. This work is delivered by Nariie-sensei with plenty of humor, depicting the warmth of the ordinary everyday lives of high school girls who gather at a food court. As a reader, I am really happy that it has been made into an anime, and I never thought that I would be able to take part in it…! Yamamoto may look quite flashy, but she has a strong core as a person, and the strange mismatch between her and the squishy Wada is very amusing, making each recording a fun one.
