“My Hero Academia” final season to begin airing in October; second teaser visual featuring Shigaraki Tomura paired with Deku released
The first and second visuals feature Deku and Shigaraki as a pair.

The eighth and final season of the TV anime My Hero Academia, My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON, is set to air in October, and the second teaser visual and super teaser PV have been released.
The second teaser visual, drawn by character designer Umakoshi Yoshihiko, features Shigaraki Tomura prominently, and when placed next to the first teaser visual released last year, Deku and Shigaraki are paired. Next to Deku in the first visual is the words “This is the story of how we became the greatest heroes,” but next to Shigaraki in the second visual is the words “I will destroy everything. Your story and everything,” expressing the opposing beliefs of the two men.

The super teaser PV follows the journey of Deku (voiced by Yamashita Daiki) and Shigaraki (voiced by Uchiyama Kouki) and includes newly recorded voices for both characters.

The work is based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi that was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” (published by Shueisha) from 2014 to August 2024. Set in a world where about 80% of the total population has supernatural powers called “quirks”, the story follows the main character Izuku Midoriya (Deku), who inherited the quirk “One For All” from All Might, as he strives to become the greatest hero with his friends. The first season of the TV anime aired in 2016, and the seventh season came to an end in October 2024.
“FINAL SEASON” begins with the story from Volume 40 of the original manga, and follows the battle between Deku, Shigaraki, All Might in his armored suit,
