"Odekake Kozame" (The Movie) will be released in the summer of 2025

“Odekake Kozame” (The Movie) starring Yuichiro Umehara and Natsuki Hanae; New key visual shows baby shark strolling around “Tokai”

Baby Shark has come to “Shibugyo” instead of Shibuya!

It has been announced that Umehara Yuichiro and Hanae Natsuki will star in “Odekake Kozame: Tokai no Tomodachi” (The Movie). The second key visual of Baby Shark coming to “Tokai” was also unveiled.

“Odekake Kozame” is an animated adaptation of Penguin Box’s heartwarming manga, and tells the story of Baby Shark (voiced by Hanazawa Kana), who goes out with a furoshiki on her back, visiting various places and encountering small miracles in everyday life. In the movie, Baby Shark goes on a small but great adventure set in “Tokai”.

Haruto (CV: Hanae Natsuki)

Umehara plays Mohawk Aniki, who wears sunglasses and has a blue mohawk hairstyle, while Hanae plays Kai’s older brother Haruto, who works hard every day. The second key visual depicts Baby Shark walking in the middle of the Shibuya-esque downtown area “Shibuo,” with the back of Mohawk Aniki and Haruto running through the city. Usame-chan is also seen on top of a decorative pillar, and Anglerfish-chan is standing modestly next to the pillar.
“Odekake Kozame the Movie: Kai’s Friends” is scheduled to be released this summer. The cast will be taking to the stage at AnimeJapan2025’s “Odekake Kozame the Movie: Kai’s Friends Stage Event” on March 23rd. At the event, collaboration goods between “Bocchi the Rock!” and “Odekake Kozame” will be sold.

I am very happy to have been cast in “Odekake Kozame.” When I auditioned I never thought I would get in, so while I am surprised, I am also very much looking forward to the recording. I hope you enjoy the interaction between the cute baby shark and his mohawk-haired brother who lives alone. I will do my best to play the tough-looking but kind older brother, so I hope you will enjoy it.
