Synopsis
“You’ll die in a year.” Meg Raspberry, an apprentice witch, just turned 17 when her magic teacher, Faust, a “Witch of Longevity” and one of the Seven Sages, the top witches in the magical world, suddenly tells her that she has only one year left to live. Meg has been cursed with a “Death Sentence.” There is only one way to avoid death by the curse. To create the “Seed of Life” that brings immortality to the one who holds it. And the material that becomes the “Seed of Life” is a fragment of emotion – the tears of joy that people shed when they are happy. “So, how many tears do I need to collect?” “A thousand people’s worth.” “…Huh?” In this way, Meg interacts with various people in order to collect tears of joy. Her childhood friend and best friend, Fine. One of the Seven Sages, the same as Faust – Inori, the “Witch of Wisdom.” Sophie, a genius girl who is the same age as Meg and is one of the Seven Sages, is the “Witch of Blessing.” This is the story of the miracles that Meg Raspberry, an immature witch who has been told she only has one year left to live, brings about.
