Synopsis
“Starlight” is a story set long ago, in the distant future, on a distant planet. Two girls bathed in the sparkle of the stage in this play exchange their destinies. “Together we will become stars,” “Waiting on stage.” Burning away ordinary pleasures and joys to fulfill their destinies. At just five years old, their destinies are smelted into a furnace. Dangerous, isn’t it? Eventually, the two meet again. One continues to stand on the tragic stage, while the other jumps in, separated, and jumps in again, rewriting their fates…and creating a new chapter full of sparkle. There is no more girl with her eyes burned out and fallen from the tower, no more girl imprisoned. So…how will this new chapter end? “Starlight” is a story of unknown authorship. Where does the sparkle come from, and where is it headed? And who is the “star” of this story? That’s what I want to see. Hey — Aijo Karen, third-year student at Seisho Music Academy?
