Synopsis: Sandland is a desert country where both monsters and humans suffer from a serious water shortage. The people survive solely on the expensive water sold by the king. Lao, a human sheriff with a strong sense of justice, decides to embark on a journey to find the “Phantom Fountain” and asks the monsters for help. Beelzebub, the son of Satan, the king of demons, sets out in search of the “Phantom Fountain” with Lao and his chaperone, the monster Thief. While Beelzebub has a childish side, boasting about his bad behavior by saying things like, “I stayed up late and went to bed without brushing my teeth,” he possesses the fighting strength to fend off any attacking enemies. Lao is a well-respected village sheriff and a man of character who treats monsters with a gentlemanly demeanor. Thief, a skilled thief, is actually not much older than Beelzebub, but is treated like an old man because of his appearance and manner of speech. Through his journey with Beelzebub and his companions, Lao begins to realize that monsters are not “the enemy of humans.” Cast (Character: Voice Actors)
