"I'm Crazy About You" will start airing in July

“I’m Crazy About You.” Nobuhiko Okamoto plays Akira Nikaido and Yuki Ono plays Yuichi Meta

Nobuhiko Okamoto and Yuki Ono confirmed to appear

It has been announced that Nobuhiko Okamoto and Yuki Ono will appear in “I’m Crazy About You.”, a TV anime adaptation of Yama Wayama’s manga.

The original manga is an omnibus work that depicts the human relationships of adolescence. The story follows a youth ensemble drama that unfolds with Ema Joji (CV: Uchiyama Kouki), who is strangely harassed by his eccentric classmate Hayashi Mira (CV: Ono Kensho), and Metaka Yuichi, who is depressed because Nikaido Akira, a creepy character who is disgusting at school, is now sitting behind him.

Okamoto plays Nikaido Akira, who made a “reverse high school debut” due to certain circumstances and now has a creepy aura about him. On the other hand, Ono Yuki plays Metaka Yuichi, who learns of Nikaido’s hidden true face through a certain incident and becomes interested in him. Setting images for both characters have also been released.

I am Okamoto Nobuhiko, and I am grateful to have been given the role of Nikaido. In preparing to play the role of Nikaido, I read the original work. I heard that the anime version will include original scenes, so I started reading it hoping to at least get a sense of the atmosphere, but I was drawn in by the strangeness of why Nikaido became Nikaido and his interactions with Metaka, and strangely enough, I fell in love with the atmosphere of the work. I’m Ono Yuki, who will be playing the role of Metaka. I’m also very excited to see how Kazuyama-sensei’s unique brushwork and worldview will be expressed in the anime.
